WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

Nirmala College of Pharmacy conducted a Workshop & Quiz on Pharmaceutical Sciences (For Burgeoning Pharmacists) on 22nd & 23rd November 2013. A total of 358 students from 19 pharmacy colleges participated.

This workshop and quiz provided systematic knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences to participants, students, and faculty members. It offered hands-on training on sophisticated equipment and enhanced professional skills through the pharma quiz.

PHARMACEUTICS

• Preparation & Evaluation of Tablets and Technology Transfer using equipment such as:

• Quality control tests
• Dissolution test apparatus
• UV spectrophotometer, etc.

PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS

Hands-on training on various instruments including:

Interpretation of XRD, DSC, NMR, IR, Mass spectra, etc.

PHARMACOLOGY

Hands-on training on:

Effect of drugs on isolated tissue preparations:

Screening methods in Pharmacology using experimental animals:

• Guinea Pigs
• Rats
• Rabbits
• Mice

Techniques of blood collection in experimental animals.
